The Israeli-Arab conflict. Saudi Arabia - Gaza via the Allenby Bridge with a fine on Israeli stamps.
Tourists crossing the bridges did not have Israeli stamps in their hands. Due to lack of time or because the post office was closed, they dropped their letters (mandatory!) without stamps into the mailbox on the bridge. The envelopes were collected and stamped the next day with the stamp of the Allenby Bridge and/or Adam and fined "T" double the stamp (2 times 1.10) and stamped at the "Gaza" destination. Rare!
